Director and founder, MIT Space Exploration Initiative
For the MIT Space Exploration Initiative, Ariel Ekblaw coordinates space research and launch opportunities across the spectrum of science, engineering, art, and design, and drives collaborations on this work with MIT and space industry partners. In addition to the broader Initiative portfolio, her personal research builds on her MIT PhD in aerospace structures and the TESSERAE platform: Tessellated Electromagnetic Space Structures for the Exploration of Reconfigurable, Adaptive Environments. Ariel Ekblaw graduated from Yale University with a B.S. in Physics, Mathematics and Philosophy, and completed a master’s at MIT Media Lab.
