9.00 a.m.

The first keynote of the morning - aptly named “Wake Up Call” - was held by Nir Eyal. The author and expert in behavioural design held an energizing speech on consumer habits and building habit-forming products. He takes the participants through the consumers’ process of building habits, using smartphones and social media as examples. Questions like “How do companies change consumer habits?” and “What are the patterns of the world’s most habit building products?” are answered and discussed.  Eyal advises the audience to steer away from manipulation through building habit-forming products and underlines the importance of using habits for good.
